8th Infantry Regiment (U.S. Army) White Coffee Mug

The 8th Infantry Regiment is a unit of the United States Army that has played significant roles in various military conflicts throughout its history. Established in 1917, it was one of six new infantry regiments created for World War I. Post-World War I, the 8th Infantry Regiment saw action during the Philippine-American War and the Korean War, where it was awarded a Presidential Unit Citation. The regiment is currently part of the 4th Infantry Division (ID) and has been stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado since 1963. The 8th ID includes three distinct battalions: 2nd Battalion, 8th Infantry Regiment (2-8 INF); 3rd Battalion, 8th Infantry Regiment (3-8 INF); and 4th Battalion, 8th Infantry Regiment (4-8 INF). Soldiers in the 8th Infantry Regiment undergo rigorous training to prepare for a variety of combat operations, including raids, ambushes, reconnaissance missions, and more. The regiment's motto is "No Slack" which reflects its dedication to relentless readiness and commitment to service.
