Bealeton, Virginia refers to a small town located in Fauquier County. During the U.S. Civil War, it became significant as the location of Company F, 93rd New York Infantry's encampment. The 93rd New York Infantry was raised in response to President Lincoln's call for volunteers in April 1864 and served under the command of Colonel Byron R. Pierce. The company participated in various battles including those around Petersburg and the Appomattox Campaign, contributing to the Union's eventual victory in the Civil War.
