The Flag of Oak Forest, Illinois is the official symbol representing the city of Oak Forest, located within Cook County. Adopted in 1957, the flag features a green field divided into three horizontal sections by two thin white stripes. At the hoist side (left), there is a white oak tree situated on the first section and a red five-pointed star at the top of the second section. The bottom third of the flag represents Lake Michigan's shoreline with blue waves. This design encapsulates Oak Forest's history, including its namesake, the abundant oak trees, and its proximity to Lake Michigan.
