ISS Expedition 20 was the 20th long-duration mission to the International Space Station (ISS), a joint project among five participating space agencies: NASA (United States), Roscosmos (Russia), JAXA (Japan), ESA (Europe), and CSA (Canada). This expedition, which lasted from April 8 to September 17, 2009, was commanded by NASA astronaut Michael Barratt. During this period, the crew conducted a variety of scientific research experiments in microgravity, managed station maintenance tasks, and worked on upgrading and expanding the ISS facilities. Significant events during Expedition 20 included the arrival of the Japanese Kibo laboratory module and two spacewalks to install components and conduct repairs. The expedition ended with the return of the crew aboard a Soyuz TMA-14 spacecraft.
