STS 129 (NASA) The STS 129 mission, conducted by NASA, was a Space Shuttle flight that took place from November 16 to November 28, 2009. This mission utilized the Space Shuttle Atlantis and marked the 31st flight of the Orbiter Vehicle. The primary objective of STS 129 was to deliver the Leonardo Multipurpose Logistics Module (MPLM) filled with spare parts, equipment, and supplies to the International Space Station (ISS). Additionally, it provided support for ISS Expedition 21 and Expedition 22 crews. The mission also included a spacewalk by astronauts Robert Satcher Jr. and Stephen Hawley for the installation of new batteries on the station. This mission marked the final visit by Space Shuttle Atlantis to the ISS before its retirement in 2011.
