The XIV Corps, also known as the Fourteen Corps, is a formation of the United States Army. Established during World War II, it played significant roles in various campaigns, including the Normandy invasion and the Battle of the Bulge. It was inactivated post-war but reactivated for the Korean War and then deactivated again in 1957. In 1984, it was redesignated as a corps headquarters and is currently part of the United States Army Forces Command (FORSCOM). The XIV Corps operates primarily under the authority of U.S. Army North (Fifth Army) and is headquartered in Fort Hood, Texas. It provides command and control to numerous divisions, brigades, and other supporting units as needed for various operations and training exercises.
