The 139th Pennsylvania Infantry was a military unit that served in the United States Army during the American Civil War. Formed as part of the Union forces, it played a significant role in various engagements from August 1864 to June 1865. Originally organized in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, the regiment consisted of ten companies, each with approximately 97 soldiers. Throughout its service, the 139th Pennsylvania Infantry participated in several notable battles, including the Battle of Peachtree Creek and the Battle of Atlanta, both in Georgia. The unit was mustered out of service on June 25, 1865, following the end of the Civil War.
