The 172d Airlift Wing is a unit of the United States Air Force, falling under the jurisdiction of the Air Mobility Command. Based at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, Colorado, this wing's primary mission involves air mobility operations, ensuring efficient transportation of personnel and cargo by air for the U.S. military.
