The 1905 Engineer Aviation Battalion is a military unit within the United States Army. Established in 1942, its primary function is to provide engineering support for airfield operations, including the construction, maintenance, and repair of runways, taxiways, and other airfield facilities. The battalion also provides technical assistance with aircraft handling equipment and vehicles, as well as supervising aircraft fueling and de-icing operations. Throughout its history, the 1905 Engineer Aviation Battalion has supported various military campaigns, including the Vietnam War, Operation Desert Storm, and the War in Afghanistan. The unit is currently stationed at Fort Richardson, Alaska.
