'44 Infantry Division SSI (U.S. Army)' The 44th Infantry Division SSI (Special Support Intelligence) is a military unit of the United States Army, primarily tasked with providing intelligence support to other military units and organizations. The division was activated on August 15, 1921, during the post-World War I expansion of the U.S. Army, and has since seen service in various conflicts, including World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. It is currently part of the Arkansas National Guard and based at Camp Joseph T. Robinson near North Little Rock, Arkansas. The 44th Infantry Division SSI's mission is to provide timely, relevant, and accurate intelligence to support the command and control of forces in both peacetime and combat operations. The division operates under the U.S. Army Intelligence Center at Fort Huachuca, Arizona.
