The 451st Air Expeditionary Wing is a unit of the United States Air Force, primarily based at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph in Texas. Established on October 1, 2013, following the merger of the 479th Flying Training Wing and the 502nd Operations Group, this wing plays a crucial role in Air Education and Training Command (AETC) as an undergraduate pilot training provider. The wing is responsible for training and preparing air force pilots, navigators, and combat systems officers through multiple training programs such as Undergraduate Pilot Training (UPT), Navigator Training Wing (NTW), Combat Systems Officer (CSO), and T-6 Texan II Pilot Training (TPTT). Throughout its history, the 451st AEW has produced numerous pilots who have served in various air force missions globally.
