It comprises a shield divided into four quarters with unique emblems in each section: a red heart on white background (Quadrant 1), eight red and white stripes (Quadrant 2), a black semicircle with a yellow five-pointed star (Quadrant 3), and three blue vertical bars (Quadrant 4). The design also includes two white palms crossed above the shield. This version of the Coat of Arms was used between 1931 and 1949, having been replaced by a modernized version in 1949 that reflects the current national emblem.
