Halifax Regional Police (HRP) is the law enforcement agency responsible for policing the Halifax Regional Municipality in Nova Scotia, Canada. Established on April 1, 1995, through the amalgamation of several smaller municipal police forces, the HRP serves a population of approximately 403,000 people over an area of about 5,500 square kilometers. The force is headquartered in Halifax and operates out of various district offices throughout the region.
