Marine Corps Base Hawaii (USMC), also known as Marine Corps Base Hawaii-Kaneohe Bay, is a major United States Marine Corps installation located on the windward coast of Oahu, Honolulu County, Hawaii. Established in 1942 during World War II, it serves as the Pacific fleet's principal amphibious assault training base and provides support to various Marine Air Ground Task Forces. The base spans approximately 13,000 acres and includes Kaneohe Bay, which is used for a variety of activities such as aircraft carrier landing practice, naval gunfire support exercises, and amphibious assault training. The Marine Corps Base Hawaii-Kaneohe Bay is home to multiple Marine units, including the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force, Marine Aircraft Group 24, and the Naval Health Clinic Kaneohe Bay.
