Order of Canada Circlet - Pint Glass 16oz

The Order of Canada is one of Canada's highest civilian honors, established by Governor General Georges Vanier on July 1, 1967. It recognizes outstanding achievement, dedication to the community, and service to the nation. The Order comprises three levels: Companion (the highest level), Officer, and Member. Recipients of this prestigious award receive an insignia, which includes a circlet for all three levels. The Order of Canada circlet is a white enamel band with a maple leaf at the center. The circlet is worn on the left side of the recipient's chest and suspended from a bar bearing the motto "Desiderant meliorem patriam" (They desire a better country). The Order of Canada is presented by the Governor General, or her representative, during an investiture ceremony at Rideau Hall. Recipients become Members of the Order for Life.
