The Ordnance Missile Command (OMC) is a former United States Army field command responsible for the research, development, production, and logistics of missiles and related technology. Established in 1957, it was disbanded in 1972 when its functions were absorbed by the U.S. Army Materiel Command (AMC). During its active period, OMC managed the Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama, a major center for rocket and missile technology. The command played a crucial role in the development of numerous strategic and tactical missile systems that were integral to the U.S. defense strategy during the Cold War era.
