XIV Corps, also known as the Fourteen Corps, is a corps of the United States Army that has seen active service since World War II. Originally activated on September 15, 1943, it was initially deployed in the European Theater during WWII under the command of General George S. Patton Jr. After the war, the Corps was deactivated but reactivated several times for various operations, including the Korean War and the Vietnam War. In the modern military structure, the XIV Corps is part of the United States Army Pacific (USARPAC) and serves as a component command under United States Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM). The Corps' primary area of focus is in the Indo-Pacific region. It provides command, control, communication, computer, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capabilities to support joint and combined operations with regional allies and partners. The XIV Corps is headquartered at Joint Base Langley–Eustis in Hampton, Virginia, but its units are strategically located throughout the Pacific region. The corps' mission is to deliver ready and capable forces for employment as directed by the combatant commander. This includes conducting joint and combined operations across the full spectrum of military activities, from peacekeeping and humanitarian assistance to full-scale warfare.
