The XVI Corps, or Sixteenth Corps, is a formation of the United States Army. It was first activated during World War II as part of the U.S. Sixth Army and participated in several significant battles, including the invasions of Normandy and Okinawa. After the war, it was deactivated. The corps was re-established in 1983 as a component of the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC).
