106 Infantry Division (U.S. Army) Color Changing Coffee Mug

The 106th Infantry Division is a formation of the United States Army, first activated during World War I on November 25, 1917. Initially composed of National Guard units from Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas, it served in France during the last few months of the war but did not see significant combat. The division was reactivated in 1940 prior to U.S. involvement in World War II and played a crucial role in both the European and Pacific theaters. In Europe, it landed on Omaha Beach on D-Day, June 6, 1944, and fought its way across France, Belgium, and into Germany until the end of the war. In the Pacific, it was attached to the Sixth Army during the Battle of Okinawa, one of the bloodiest battles of the Pacific War. Post-World War II, the 106th Division has been active in the Korean War, Vietnam War, and various peacekeeping missions around the world. Today, it is part of the U.S. Army National Guard and operates under the command of the Army National Guard of Arkansas. Its motto is "Ready Always!" and its shoulder sleeve insignia features a blue shield with crossed sabers to symbolize readiness for combat.
