The 380th Infantry Regiment is a unit of the United States Army that serves under the Infantry branch. This regiment was activated during World War II, with its first units formed in 1942. Throughout the war, it participated in significant campaigns, including the invasions of Sicily and Normandy. Post-WWII, the 380th saw service in the Korean War before being deactivated in 1956. In 2006, the lineage was redesignated to a new unit, the 380th Airborne Infantry Regiment, under the Army Reserve component.
