The 59th Air Defense Artillery (ADA) Regiment is a United States Army unit responsible for air defense operations. It was activated on February 1, 1963, as part of the U.S. Army Air Defense Command. The regiment's headquarters are located at Fort Bliss, Texas, and it falls under the command of the U.S. Army Air Defense Artillery Center (USAAADC). The 59th ADA Regiment is organized into three battalions: the 1st Battalion stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma; the 2nd Battalion at Fort Bliss, Texas; and the 3rd Battalion at Fort Hood, Texas. Each battalion deploys MIM-104 Patriot missile systems for air defense missions. The 59th ADA Regiment plays a crucial role in defending U.S. forces against enemy aircraft, cruise missiles, and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
