The 97th Engineer Battalion is a unit of the United States Army that specializes in engineer operations, specifically construction, demolition, and maintenance of military facilities and transportation networks. Established as part of the Organized Reserves in the mid-1920s, it has since been mobilized for various conflicts including World War II, Korea, and more recently, Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.
