The Flag of Ivanovo is the official symbol representing the federal subject of Ivanovo Oblast (region) in Russia. Adopted on November 26, 1993, the flag consists of two equal horizontal bands of green and white. The green band occupies the upper half, while the white band takes up the lower half. The center of the white band features a blue square that is one-third the height of the flag and one-tenth its width, with three gold (yellow) stylized acorns arranged in an inverted triangle inside. The green color symbolizes Ivanovo's rich forest resources, while the white represents purity and honesty. The blue square signifies the Volga River that flows through the region, and the three acorns represent the three historic districts of the city: Ivanovo, Vorontsov, and Kineshma.
