The Flag of Kleve (also known as the Flag of Klietpole or Clèves) represents a historical armorial banner associated with the Duchy of Cleves, an important territory in medieval and early modern Germany. The flag features three vertical stripes, arranged from top to bottom, in the colors gold, black, and gold again. The black stripe serves as a symbol of the House of Cleves, one of the most powerful noble families in Germany during the late Middle Ages and Early Modern Period.
