STS 68 (NASA) STS 68, also known as Columbia Mission 21 or Neurolab, was a Space Shuttle mission launched by NASA on September 30, 1999. This mission was significant due to its primary focus on life sciences and neurobiology experiments conducted aboard the Space Shuttle Columbia. The crew included seven astronauts led by Commander Robert D. Cabana. During the 16-day mission, numerous experiments were performed, including studies on plant growth, human physiology, and astronaut sleep patterns in microgravity.
