The 19th Engineer Battalion is a unit within the United States Army's engineer branch. Its primary role is to provide engineering support for combat operations, construction, and maintenance of military facilities. These tasks include but are not limited to bridge building, road construction, and demolition of obstacles. The battalion is part of the 2nd Cavalry Regiment and is stationed in Vilseck, Bavaria, Germany. The 19th Engineer Battalion's mission is to enable the rapid deployment, maneuver, and sustainment of forces by providing engineering capabilities that ensure freedom of movement and tactical overmatch on the battlefield.
