Flag of Cali Valle del Cauca Colombia The Flag of Cali Valle del Cauca Colombia is the official symbol representing the city of Cali, located in the department (province) of Valle del Cauca in western Colombia. Adopted on August 14, 1958, the flag's design consists of a tricolor field divided diagonally from the lower hoist-side corner to the upper fly-side corner, with two horizontal bands forming an isosceles triangle. The bottom band, which forms the base of the triangle, is green and represents agriculture; the top band, which meets the center stripe, is red and symbolizes courage and valor. The central stripe is white, representing peace, purity, and unity. A stylized depiction of a hand holding an olive branch, known as the Hand of Peace, occupies the center of the white field.
