The Soyuz TMA-14 was a spacecraft mission launched as part of the Soyuz program, a human spaceflight program run by Roscosmos (the Russian federal space agency). This specific flight, designated TMA-14, marked the 32nd visit to the International Space Station (ISS) by a Soyuz spacecraft. The mission took place on June 20, 2009, with a crew consisting of three astronauts: Commander Gennady Padalka (Roscosmos), Flight Engineer Michael Barratt (NASA), and Research Cosmonaut Joe Acaba (NASA). During their 168-day stay on the ISS, they conducted various scientific research experiments in multiple fields such as biology, physics, and Earth sciences. The spacecraft returned safely to Earth on December 17, 2009, concluding a successful mission that furthered our understanding of life and the universe beyond our planet.
