The USCGC Kathleen Moore is a United States Coast Guard cutter named after Kathleen Moore, a Coast Guard officer who was the first woman to command a vessel in combat during World War II. This 210-foot seagoing buoy tender (WMEC 625) is part of the Coast Guard's Medium Endurance Cutter fleet, designed for missions such as search and rescue, law enforcement, and environmental protection. The Kathleen Moore was commissioned in 1987, making it one of the later cutters in the service. It is equipped with modern systems to aid in its various roles, including navigation radar, communication equipment, and a helicopter landing deck.
