Description/Blazon

A shield blazoned: Per chevron Azure and Argent, in chief the Katipunan sun in splendor and an olla Or charged with a bull skull Gules, in base a mound Vert with a palm tree Proper entwined with a snake of the fifth. Below the shield, a gold scroll is inscribed "LAH WE LAH HIS" in blue letters.

Symbolism

The colors Argent (white) and Azure (blue) represent the Infantry and the unit's original designation. The Katipunan sun signifies the Philippine Insurrection, while the palm tree denotes service in the Spanish-American War. The gold olla refers to World War I service with the 34th Division, and the snake symbolizes Mexican Border service.

Background

The distinctive unit insignia was originally approved for the 134th Infantry Regiment on December 1, 1932. It was redesignated for the 134th Cavalry Regiment with updated description and symbolism on August 22, 2006.
