135e regiment dinfanterie de ligne-drapeau (France) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A striped tricolour in royal blue, white and red, lettered with the battle honours of the 135e Régiment d'Infanterie de Ligne, the French infantry regiment associated with Angers.

Visual Elements & Composition

The national colours form a rectangle of upright bands, and nothing competes with them. The gold inscriptions are set into the cloth in capitals: LÜTZEN 1813, GOLDBERG 1813, HANAU 1813, SAINT-GOND 1914, VERDUN 1916, MONTDIDIER 1918 and SAINT-QUENTIN 1918. The names are arranged in a tidy, evenly spaced order, so the banner reads as a chronology from the Napoleonic campaigns to the Western Front.

Meaning & Symbolism

The regiment was first formed in 1813, and it was reconstituted in 1870, 1873 and 1940. Its three honours from 1813 come from the campaigns in Germany, where Lützen, Goldberg and Hanau were fought. The 1914 to 1918 names mark the First World War battles of Saint-Gond, Verdun, Montdidier and Saint-Quentin. The banner stands for the regiment's honour and its unbroken line of service through several eras of French military history.

On the Shot Glass

The shot glass is held in the hand and raised to the eye, which brings the banner close enough to read every battle name. The tricolour bands run upright around the glass, and the gold lettering catches the light each time the glass is turned.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
