136e regiment dinfanterie de ligne-drapeau (France) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A French tricolour flag, rendered as a flat, boldly striped banner, carries the honour roll of a line infantry regiment in gold lettering.

Visual Elements & Composition

Three vertical bands of royal blue, white and red fill the frame edge to edge, with the blue on the hoist side. Across the field run the gold battle honours in capitals: LÜTZEN 1813, BAUTZEN 1813, MONTMIRAIL 1814, PARIS 1814, SAINT-GOND 1914, SOMME 1916 and LA MARNE 1918. The lettering is the only element that breaks the stripes, so the eye reads the inscriptions as the centre of the design.

Meaning & Symbolism

The tricolour is the national flag of France, and the battle names record the engagements the regiment took part in across the Napoleonic wars, the Franco-Prussian period and the First World War. The regimental motto, "Je ne recule ni ne dévie" (I neither retreat nor deviate), links the banner to the unit's sense of duty. The regiment was first formed in 1813 and recreated in 1870, and its colours follow the standardised regulations for French military flags of that era.

Held Close in the Hand

A shot glass is small and is lifted and turned in one hand, so the striped flag and its gold inscriptions sit at close range, where each name can be read. The tall vertical bands suit the narrow barrel of the glass, and the lettering runs across the curve as the glass is turned.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
