140e regiment dinfanterie de ligne-drapeau (France) Shot Glass 1.5oz

The French tricolour, in navy, white and crimson, serves as the ground for gold-lettered battle honours that trace a line infantry regiment from 1813 to 1917.

Visual Elements & Composition

Three vertical bands of navy blue, white and red make up the field, with the gold inscriptions set across them. The honours read LÜTZEN 1813, BAUTZEN 1813, WACHAU 1813, CHAMPAGNE 1915, VERDUN 1916 and LA MALMAISON 1917. The dates arrange the text in a clear, even sequence, and the colour bands dominate the design while the gold lettering picks out the names.

Meaning & Symbolism

The three Napoleonic honours recall the regiment's campaigns of 1813, and the three later names mark its service in the First World War. The regiment was formed as a line infantry regiment in 1813 and again in 1873, and it was later assigned as an alpine infantry regiment in 1939. The croix de guerre 1914-1918 with two palms on the cravat marks the unit's recognised bravery in that conflict.

Carried in the Hand, Seen Up Close

A shot glass is small and held near the face, so the tricolour and its gold honours are read at close range. The upright bands run along the straight sides of the glass, and the battle names come into view as the glass is lifted for a toast.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
