149e regiment dinfanterie de ligne-drapeau (France) Shot Glass 1.5oz

Blue, white and red stripes form the tricolour of France, and a dense column of battle honours runs down the flag from 1794 to 1918.

Visual Elements & Composition

The tricolour is the dominant element, laid out in vertical bands with a small amount of gold as an accent. The stripes give the flag a flat, orderly rhythm, and the honours are set over them as short, capitalised lines. Eight are legible: FLEURUS 1794, BAUTZEN 1813, GOLDBERG 1813, LA MARNE 1914, ARTOIS-L'AISNE 1914-1915, SOMME 1916, LA MALMAISON 1917 and CHAMPAGNE 1918. The surface is busy with names, so the eye moves down the column the way a reader scans a list.

Meaning & Symbolism

The 149e Régiment d'Infanterie de Ligne was created on 1 March 1813 at Mainz, during the Napoleonic campaigns. Its regimental colours carried the tricolour, with the regiment's number in the corners, and were topped by the Imperial Eagle, the emblem of Napoleon I's authority. The honours, from Fleurus in 1794 to Champagne in 1918, record the battles in which the regiment served across more than a century of French military history.

A Name for Every Glass

This glass is small enough to hold in one hand, so the honours are read at close range, one line at a time. Eight names are a good deal to take in at once, and they come easily when the glass is raised and turned. The tricolour is printed around the body, and each band keeps its place however the glass is held.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
