162e regiment dinfanterie de ligne-drapeau (France) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This design depicts the regimental flag of the 162nd Line Infantry Regiment of France, a tricolour standard inscribed with its battle honours in gold.

Visual Elements & Composition

Blue, white and red stripes form the field of the flag, with gold inscriptions set across the cloth. The layout is simple and upright, so the names carry the composition. The honours read in order: SPRIMONT 1794, L'YSER 1914, VERDUN 1916-1917, LA SOMME 1916 and L'AISNE 1917, with LE MATZ 1918 completing the list. The bright bands and the gold lettering give the flag a crisp, graphic look.

Meaning & Symbolism

The regiment began as the 162nd demi-brigade in 1794, and the Sprimont honour records that earliest service. The First World War names mark the Yser front of 1914, the defence of Verdun, the Somme, and the final campaigns of 1917 and 1918. The unit was recreated in 1887 and was awarded the Croix de Guerre 1914-1918, which the design commemorates. The honours trace the regiment's service until its dissolution in 1940.

Held in the Hand

A shot glass is small and held close, so the gold names are read at the level of the eye, much as a standard was read by the men who marched beneath it. The stripes wrap the curve of the glass, and the lettering shifts as the glass is turned. It suits anyone who studies French military history and values a regimental roll set out in full.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
