Symbolism

Scarlet and white are traditional Cavalry colors. The white disc represents Troop E of the 92nd Infantry Brigade and its association with Puerto Rico, known as the Pearl of the Caribbean. The mounted knight reflects the Spanish heritage of Cavalry in Puerto Rico, emphasizing honor and loyalty. The knight in an attack stance symbolizes the unit's readiness, while the black horse represents security and light reconnaissance within the unit's area of operation. The motto translates to "Scouts Forward."

Background
