1921 India flag (India) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This design reproduces the 1921 Indian flag, a horizontal tricolour of red, green and white with a navy spinning wheel drawn at its centre.

Visual Elements & Composition

Three horizontal stripes of red, green and white run the full width of the flag, with the white band sitting between the other two. Over the stripes sits a navy line-drawn charkha, a spinning wheel on its stand with its support posts and base platform clearly visible. The linework is thin and mechanical against the broad colour bands, so the wheel reads as the focal point. The flat vector style keeps the stripes sharp and the drawing precise.

Meaning & Symbolism

The flag was designed by Pingali Venkayya. Its red and green stripes stood for the Hindu and Muslim communities, and on Mahatma Gandhi's suggestion the white stripe was added to stand for peace and the other religious communities. The charkha at the centre is the emblem of Swaraj, or self-reliance. Presented to Gandhi in 1921 and used at Congress meetings, the design became the foundation for the national flag adopted in 1947.

Held in the Hand

A shot glass is small and held close, so the charkha and the stripes are read at arm's length as the glass is raised. The compact, straight-sided form suits a horizontal design like this one, and the clear glass lets the bands of red, green and white show clearly against whatever surface the glass rests on.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
