1er regiment de tirailleurs senegalais (France) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A striped flat vector tricolour in blue, red and white, listing the colonial and wartime campaigns of the 1er régiment de tirailleurs sénégalais.

Visual Elements & Composition

Three near-equal vertical bands of blue, red and white make up the field, and the stripes give the flag its strong rhythm. The inscriptions run in lower case and mixed case, each campaign paired with its date: Sénégal - Soudan 1890, Dahomey 1892, Côte d'Ivoire 1893-1895, Madagascar 1895, Congo - Tchad 1900, Mauritanie 1904-1913, Maroc 1908-1913, Grande Guerre 1914-1918 and Guerre 1939-1945. Place names carry the design, with the dates running through them like a timeline.

Meaning & Symbolism

The tirailleurs sénégalais were infantry drawn largely from West Africa, and the regiment's honours chart the French colonial expansion of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Senegal and Sudan, Dahomey, Côte d'Ivoire, Madagascar, the Congo and Chad are all named as campaign grounds. The list then turns to the two world wars, closing with the Second World War in 1945. The unit served from 1884 to 1958, and the flag records that service in the places where it was fought.

Carrying the Shot Glass

A shot glass is small and held in the hand, so the list of campaigns is read at close range and each place name comes into focus as the glass is turned. The vertical stripes match the straight lines of the vessel, and the dates stay easy to follow from the base to the rim.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
