227e regiment dinfanterie-drapeau (France) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This design reproduces the flag of the 227th Infantry Regiment (227e RI) of the French Army, a tricolour standard carrying two battle honours and the regiment's motto.

Visual Elements & Composition

The national tricolour of blue, white and red runs in vertical bands and forms the whole field of the flag. The honours VERDUN 1916 and MONASTIR 1917 are embroidered across it, and they are the only lettering in the composition. The layout is plain and frontal, with the stripes carrying the design and the text set clearly in the centre of the flag. The flat vector treatment keeps the edges crisp and the palette strong.

Meaning & Symbolism

The tricolour is the national flag of France, and the battle honours record two engagements of the First World War. Verdun in 1916 is among the best-known battles of that conflict, and Monastir in 1917 was fought on the Macedonian front. The regimental motto, "Dur comme cep", meaning hard as a stump, is associated with the unit's identity. The regiment was first formed in August 1914 and was later re-established in September 1939 for the Second World War.

On the Shot Glass

A 1.5oz shot glass is small and held close, so the embroidered honours and the regiment's number are read at arm's length, one line at a time. The clear glass lets the tricolour show through the drink, and the stripes stay visible from every side as the glass is lifted and turned.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
