23FlagdiagonalGyronny8NW (Portugal) Shot Glass 1.5oz

Black and white triangles fan out from a single point, dividing the field into eight equal segments in a crisp, high-contrast optical pattern.

Visual Elements & Composition

White and black split the surface exactly in half, with each segment meeting its neighbour along the diagonals and apothems. The effect is symmetrical and radial, so the eye travels inward to the centre and then back out. The edges are flat and sharp, and the contrast is strong enough that the pattern seems to shift as you look across it. No text or numerals appear anywhere in the design.

Meaning & Symbolism

This is the standard field of Portuguese municipal vexillology for a municipality holding city (cidade) status. Its eight-part division is what sets city flags apart from those of towns, which carry a quartered field, and villages, which carry a plain one. The municipality's own coat of arms is normally set at the centre of the field. The rules were formalised by Law no. 53/91 of 7 August 1991, and the design follows long-standing heraldic practice in Portugal.

A Small Field to Hold

A 1.5oz shot glass is held close and seen from above, so the eight segments fill the view as you lift it. The radial layout suits the glass's narrow sides, and the pattern carries from the base to the rim without a break. Set on a bar, the black and white geometry stands out clearly against the rest of the shelf.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
