23FlagdiagonalGyronny8PN (Portugal) Shot Glass 1.5oz

Deep purple and black wedges alternate around a single centre, forming a dark, formal sunburst built from eight equal triangles.

Visual Elements & Composition

Purple and black share the field equally, with eight triangular wedges running from the middle to the outer edge. The two tones are close in depth, so the pattern reads as a controlled, shadowed star rather than a loud one. Each wedge is flat and sharply defined, and the layout is perfectly symmetrical. No text, numerals or figures appear, and the geometry alone carries the design.

Meaning & Symbolism

A gyronny of eight is the standard field in Portuguese municipal vexillology for a seat with the official status of cidade, or city. The eight-part division distinguishes city flags from those of towns and villages, which use simpler fields. The colours follow the dominant tinctures of the municipality's coat of arms, and the system has been regulated by Law no. 53/91 since 7 August 1991. The design therefore records civic rank as much as it records local identity.

In the Hand, Up Close

A 1.5oz shot glass is small and held near the eye, so the eight wedges fill the view as you look down into it. The dark purple and black segments meet at the base and run to the rim, which keeps the pattern continuous from one side of the glass to the other. On a home bar it sits quietly among brighter pieces and draws the eye on closer inspection.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
