2e regiment dartillerie de campagne-drapeau (France) Shot Glass 1.5oz

The French tricolour of blue, white and red, carrying the battle honours of a field artillery regiment inscribed in fine lettering across its surface.

Visual Elements & Composition

Three vertical bands of blue, white and red form the field, in the order of the national tricolour. The bands are wide and even, so the colours dominate the design. Across the central area run the regiment's battle honours, set as capitalised inscriptions in gold-toned lettering: ZURICH 1799, MARENGO 1800, LA MOSKOVA 1812, SEBASTOPOL 1854-1855, CHAMPAGNE 1915, VERDUN 1916 and LA MALMAISON 1917. The rectangular format and the orderly rows of text give the composition a solemn, formal weight.

Meaning & Symbolism

The regiment was raised in 1791 and served until its dissolution in 1999. Each inscription commemorates an engagement in which the unit fought, from the Napoleonic campaigns to the battles of the First World War. The tricolour anchors the flag to the French nation, while the honours record the regiment's own history of service. Together they show a unit proud of the battles it carried into the record, and the flag was decorated with the Croix de guerre 1914-1918 with two palms.

Held Close in the Hand

A shot glass is small and taken in close, so the blue, white and red bands are seen at near range and the lettering can be read a line at a time as the glass is turned. The vertical tricolour suits the narrow form of the glass, and the bands run up its side in a clean, unbroken line.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
