2e regiment de tirailleurs marocains - drapeau (France) Shot Glass 1.5oz

The tricolour regimental flag of a French infantry unit recruited in Morocco, its vertical bands of blue, red and white inscribed with the campaigns of its service.

Visual Elements & Composition

Three vertical bands of blue, white and red make up the field in the order of the national flag, with the three colours sharing the surface almost equally. The embroidered inscriptions are set in capitals across the flag: PICARDIE 1918, SOMME-PY 1918, MAROC 1919-1926-1931-1934, GEMBLOUX 1940, GARIGLIANO 1944, ROME 1944 and INDOCHINE 1947-54. The rows of names and the regular stripes give the flag a formal, measured structure.

Meaning & Symbolism

The regiment was created on 31 January 1918 and served in the Armée d'Afrique until its dissolution in 1962. Its honours span the First World War, the Moroccan campaigns of the interwar years, the Second World War and the Indochina War. The tricolour ties the regiment to the French nation, and the inscriptions record the places where its men fought and the years they served across several decades of conflict.

In the Hand, Up Close

A shot glass is small and held close, so the inscriptions can be read a line at a time as the glass is lifted. The vertical tricolour climbs the narrow body of the glass, and the blue, white and red bands stay sharp and even as the glass turns.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
