2nd Infantry Regiment (U.S. Army) Black Coffee Mug

The 2nd Infantry Regiment is a U.S. Army infantry unit that traces its lineage back to the American Civil War. It was officially activated on July 31, 1861, in Virginia during the early stages of the Civil War. Initially designated as the 2nd U.S. Volunteer Infantry Regiment, it has since served in numerous conflicts including the Spanish-American War, World Wars I and II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, and most recently in Iraq and Afghanistan. The regiment is currently stationed at Camp Humphreys, South Korea. Its motto is "To the Color" and its symbol is a green diamond with a red border, known as the "Iron Heart."
