The 321st Air Expeditionary Wing is a unit of the United States Air Force (USAF). As an air expeditionary wing, it is designed for rapid response to global crises and contingencies. Typically composed of a headquarters element and multiple groups, the 321st AEW conducts air and space operations, including close air support, air defense, air interdiction, air mobility, air refueling, and tactical air control party missions. The wing is based at Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina, but can be deployed anywhere in the world as part of the USAF's global reach capability. The 321st AEW falls under the operational command of Air Combat Command (ACC).
