The 354th Infantry Regiment is a historical infantry unit within the United States Army. It was first constituted on July 25, 1917, during World War I and subsequently inactivated in August 1918. The regiment was reorganized and redesignated on February 6, 1940, prior to U.S. involvement in World War II, and saw action in the European Theatre of Operations. During the Korean War, the 354th Infantry Regiment was again activated as part of the 87th Infantry Division. The regiment earned several battle honors for its service, including the World War II campaigns of Normandy, Rhineland, Ardennes-Alsace, and Central Europe, and the Korean War campaigns of Pusan Perimeter, CCF Intervention, First UN Counteroffensive, Second UN Counteroffensive, Third UN Counteroffensive, Korea, and Korea 1953. The 354th Infantry Regiment was inactivated on June 20, 1958. Today, its lineage is carried on by various units within the U.S. Army.
