36e regiment dinfanterie de ligne - drapeau (France) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A striped vertical tricolour of blue, white and red, set out as the standard of the 36th French Line Infantry Regiment and inscribed with the battles it fought.

Visual Elements & Composition

Three vertical bands of blue, white and red make up the field, with blue at the hoist and red at the fly. Gold appears in small touches on the lettering, and the design is a single centred rectangle with nothing beyond the stripes and the inscriptions. The bands are close in weight, so the pattern reads as a steady rhythm rather than one dominant colour. The battle names sit across the flag in capitals and add a line of text to each band.

Meaning & Symbolism

The inscriptions list engagements from across more than a century: Hondschoote in 1793, Zurich in 1799, Austerlitz in 1805 and Iéna in 1806, then La Marne in 1914, Artois in 1915, Verdun in 1916 and L'Ailette in 1918. A regimental standard carried these battle honours as a record of service, and the tricolour places the unit within the French army. Together the names trace the regiment's history from the Revolutionary and Napoleonic wars to the First World War.

Carried to the Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the inscriptions come into reading distance as the glass is raised. The stripes wrap around the glass, and the battle names reveal themselves one by one as it is turned. The gold touches catch the light, giving the lettering a little shine at the rim.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
