38e regiment dinfanterie de ligne - drapeau (France) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A vertical tricolour of blue, white and red, presented as the standard of the 38th Line Infantry Regiment of France and inscribed with the battles the unit has fought.

Visual Elements & Composition

Three vertical bands of blue, white and red fill the design, with blue at the hoist, white in the centre and red at the fly. The bands are close in weight, so the pattern reads as a steady rhythm of colour, with a little gold in the lettering. The layout is a single centred rectangle, and the battle names run across it in capitals, making the text part of the flag's surface.

Meaning & Symbolism

The inscriptions list Jemappes in 1792, Saint-Gothard in 1799, Mœskirch in 1800 and Zaatcha in 1849, followed by Lorraine in 1914, Verdun in 1916, L'Aisne and Le Chesne in 1918. The names trace the regiment's service from the Revolutionary wars through the nineteenth century to the First World War. A regimental standard carried these honours as a record of the unit's history, and the tricolour places it within the French army.

Turned in the Hand

A shot glass is small and held close, so the battle names come into reading distance as the glass is lifted. The bands of blue, white and red wrap around the glass as it turns, and each inscription appears in turn. The gold lettering catches the light as the glass moves, which rewards a slow turn.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
