402e regiment dartillerie-drapeau (France) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This design shows the standard of the 402nd Artillery Regiment of the French Army, a vertical tricolour inscribed with the regiment's battle honours.

Visual Elements & Composition

Three upright bands of white, blue and red fill the design, with the blue at the hoist and the red at the fly. The colours are flat, so the stripes give the image its structure. Gold lettering runs across the flag and carries the wording "GRANDE GUERRE 1914-1918" and "AFN 1952-1962", the two periods of service the regiment's honours commemorate. Nothing else competes with the tricolour, and the rectangular layout keeps the text easy to follow.

Meaning & Symbolism

The tricolour places the regiment within the French Army, and the honours name its campaigns: the Great War of 1914 to 1918 and service in North Africa from 1952 to 1962. The regiment's motto, "Nec pluribus impar", translates as "Not unequal to the many". It was created on 10 April 1923 and dissolved on 1 July 2012, so the flag stands for almost ninety years of artillery service.

Held Close to the Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the flag is seen at arm's length as the glass is raised. The bold stripes stay clear at that size, and the gold inscriptions are easiest to read when the glass is turned toward the eye.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
