403e regiment dartillerie (France) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This design honours the 403rd Artillery Regiment of the French Army, an anti-aircraft unit, with a tricolour flag bearing the words "GRANDE GUERRE 1914-1918".

Visual Elements & Composition

Three vertical bands of blue, white and red make up the flag, each taking about a third of the width. A small touch of gold appears in the lettering, which runs across the flag in capitals. The inscription "1914-1918" sits beneath the title words and forms the dates of the First World War. The layout is a plain upright rectangle with flat colour and no shading, so the stripes and text carry the whole design.

Meaning & Symbolism

The tricolour places the regiment within the French Army, and the inscription ties it to the Great War. The regiment was created in 1920, after that war, and went on to serve through the Second World War and the Algerian War. Its motto, "Je veille", means "I keep watch", a fitting phrase for a unit whose task was defending against aircraft. The regiment was dissolved in 1999, and this flag keeps its record of service in view.

Held in the Hand

A shot glass is small and held close, so the flag is seen at arm's length as the glass is raised. The bold stripes stay clear at that size, and the gold lettering is easiest to read when the glass is turned toward the eye.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / ≈44.3 ml) — sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml) — standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours — less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning — place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (≈44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
